Story 233: Planning application submitted after years of consultation
Barnes Common has submitted the application to Richmond council for the proposed transformation of Vine Road Recreation Ground.
The proposals would reshape this open space with a climate-ready community hub and café, a redesigned inclusive playground with water play, a woodland adventure play area, a skate park, food growing spaces and wetland areas.
As the Barnes Community Association (BCA) reported,
.. years of work and consultation .. have shaped this community-led vision.

Welcome to Barnes2050, a place-based futures project asking: how do we make sure Barnes - the place and its people - is thriving and climate-ready by 2050?
